Band Math

Overview

Band math allows you to create a new band by applying a mathematical formula to existing bands. In Clarity, you do this by creating a spectral index and then using it to generate a new RGB.

Spectral Indices

To create or manage your spectral indices, click on the Spectral Indices button in the side panel.

This will bring up a dialog where you can create a new spectral index or manage your existing spectral indices.

Click Create index to create a new spectral index. You will be prompted to enter a name, and define the formula for each band. You can either generate a grayscale using the R band only, or a color index using the R, G, and B bands.

Click Create once you are done. If you require more complex formulas than basic math operations, please reach out to us.
