Plastics walkthrough

This walkthrough trains an Unmixing model to distinguish Belt and Nylon in an FX17 hyperspectral image.

Before you begin​

You need an ENVI image pair: a header file and its data file with the same base name. The image used for the walkthrough must have a Reflectance layer or be processed to Reflectance before the dataset is finalized.

The previous public sample-data link is no longer available. Contact support@metaspectral.com for the current tutorial package.

Ensure the Belt and Nylon label types exist:

  1. Open the account menu and select Label types.
  2. Create or choose a class collection.
  3. Add the Belt and Nylon classes if they are not already present.

Workflow​

  1. Upload the image.
  2. Label Belt and Nylon.
  3. Create and finalize the dataset.
  4. Create and train the model.
  5. Generate inference.

Your labels and metrics will vary with the tutorial package and the regions you draw. The goal is to learn the current workflow, not reproduce a fixed score.
