Generate plastics inference

From the workspace

1. Open the plastics image in a workspace and select Explore.
2. Expand the image source and its Analysis layers subsection.
3. Select Generate analysis layers > Model inference.
4. Choose the Reflectance input layer.
5. Select Plastics Unmixing and its trained version.
6. Review whether the wavelengths are an exact match or will be resampled, and confirm that the image covers the full model wavelength range.
7. Select Generate.

The completed result is added to the workspace as Unmixing output layers. Toggle the Belt and Nylon response layers to inspect where each material is detected.

From Files

You can also open the image's context menu in Files, select Generate results, choose the model version, and add the completed result to a workspace.

If the model is not listed, confirm that it is trained, not deprecated, uses Reflectance, and has wavelengths that overlap the image layer. A listed model with only partial coverage is still unsafe for this walkthrough unless it was validated for the exact zero-filled band pattern. Treat the response layers as model estimates. Verify them against known regions before drawing conclusions about unlabeled pixels.
