Workspace Settings
Workspace settings control how Spectral Explorer displays signatures, identifies materials, and filters wavelengths for analysis.
Open workspace settings from either:
- The settings button in the bottom dock.
- The workspace or project name menu in the top bar, then
Workspace settings.
Spectral signatures
The Spectral signatures section controls the bottom Spectral Signatures chart.
Available chart settings include:
- Show chart symbols.
- Show all selection signatures instead of only the average.
- Show chart crosshair.
- Show spectral ranges.
- Limit reflectance values between
0and2. - Show a line between points.
- Show true RGB lines or the false-color bands used for the current render.
- Show RGB bands only.
Use these settings when the chart is crowded, slow, or needs to align with the visible render bands.
Material identification
The Material identification section controls label and endmember material matching.
Available settings include:
Spectral libraries & chapters: choose all libraries, selected libraries, or selected chapters.Preprocessing method: choose the preprocessing applied before matching spectra.
Material identification is triggered from a label or endmember context menu with Identify material.
Center wavelengths
The Center wavelengths section controls wavelength filtering for material identification, endmember extraction, reference spectra, matched filters, and related spectral workflows.
You can set:
- An image-specific filter for the active image.
- A workspace-level default filter for images without an image-specific filter.
Accepted formats:
- Band ranges, such as
0-100, 150-200, 222. - Wavelength ranges in nanometers, such as
400-700, 800-900.
Clear the image-specific filter to fall back to the workspace setting.
