Clarity 0.98.x

Availability: Released. The managed imagery catalog is an Alpha capability and appears only for tenants with Alpha features enabled.

Clarity 0.98 adds image-first discovery across projects and folders, makes model experiments easier to compare, and separates reversible project archiving from scheduled deletion.

Managed imagery catalog — Alpha

Open Catalog from the primary navigation to search managed imagery without first locating its folder.

  • Switch between a dense list and a synchronized map view.
  • Search by image name and combine filters for project, map area, finalized classes, sensor, band count, wavelength range, processing level, acquisition date, tags, and georeferencing.
  • Sort by acquisition date, last update, or name.
  • Select results to add them to a workspace or apply shared imagery tags.
  • Keep filter and view state in the page URL so the same view survives normal navigation and can be revisited.

The catalog currently covers managed images. Continue to use Files for folders, shapefiles, external imagery, and folder-specific operations.

Images can appear in more than one project

Use Manage projects… on one or more selected images to add or remove a project location. The underlying image, labels, and analyses remain shared; Clarity does not duplicate the image data for each project.

Move to project still moves the selected folder location. Use Manage projects… when the same image should be discoverable from several projects.

Model experiment iteration

Model versions now provide a single Create from this version workflow:

  • create another version of the same model with the same dataset; or
  • create a new model from the version's classes and settings and select a different dataset version.

The new draft does not silently carry over trained weights. Choose whether to start from scratch, resume from a checkpoint, or transfer from another model in Model initialization before training.

The comparison table also supports experiment notes and identifies the top score for each metric, making the reason for an iteration easier to preserve.

Safer activity and project lifecycle controls

  • Failed inference tasks that remain eligible can be retried from Activity, with the new task kept in the same workflow context.
  • Activity details expose more of the selected inference event's status and diagnostics.
  • Archive now only removes a project from active views. It does not schedule deletion.
  • Deleting an archived project is a separate confirmation that shows the affected resources and provides a 15-day restore window. Active processing prevents deletion from being scheduled.

Maintenance improvements

The 0.98 maintenance releases improve raster import and reprojection recovery, label-mask handling, inference output consistency, model-test metric refresh, and per-layer feedback for imagery with invalid geospatial coordinates.
